The government will provide free electronic tablets to all senior high schools this year, according to a statement from Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The “game-changing” development, according to Dr. Bawumia, is a part of the government’s ongoing digitization initiative, which has already resulted in the installation of free WiFi at SHSs around the nation.
The Vice President claimed that Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister of Education, had informed him that the government was on track to deliver the tablets, which will arrive pre-loaded with textbooks and sample test questions.
“This year, we want to give tablets to every senior high school student in Ghana, loaded with textbooks for their study. That development completely changes the game. I hope it happens this year since we will have previous exams preloaded on these tablets that will be given to everyone. remarked Dr. Bawumia
At yesterday’s opening of the 2023 Annual New Year School and Conference (ANYSC) at the University of Ghana, Legon, Dr. Bawumia made this clear.
Positioning the African market for sustained economic development through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is the theme of this year’s 74th event.
